Brief Introduction

Mr. Conti WONG has extensive experience in advising on both contentious and non-contentious commercial matters. His practice focuses on corporate finance, insolvency, debt restructuring, shareholder disputes and commercial litigation. He has advised companies and sponsors on initial public offerings and listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and has been involved in numerous corporate project financing and debt restructuring projects in Asia.

Conti represents and advises clients on various shareholder disputes involving listed, public and private companies. He also advises on mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, setting up of trust and intellectual property matters.

  • Acting for a client to obtain a summary judgment in a contractual dispute in the sum of more than HK$20 million, and successfully resisted the appeal by the defendant
  • Acting for a group of claimants to claim damages in a ferry accident
  • Acting in a variety of regulatory and professional disciplinary matters, including SFC and HKEX
  • Advising and acting for a PRC bank in successfully applying for assets freezing injunction against a Hong Kong listed company
  • Advising on a scheme of arrangement involving a well-known Hong Kong private company which was on the business of film development
  • Acting for a party in a litigation involving issues of licensing scheme of karaoke license
  • Acting for various defendants from various jurisdictions in opposing and discharging Mareva injunction and challenging the jurisdiction of Court of Hong Kong. For this case, there are total 7 sets of related legal proceedings simultaneously conducted in BVI and PRC
  • Acting for a petitioner in successfully applying for Provisional Liquidators for a well-known Hong Kong private company engaged in the business of television broadcasting in Hong Kong
